Here are some shots of the free art I dropped for BBC2's Culture Show. This one went first, the guy that took it said he liked the Obey style. This was the second piece to go, this time the guy that took it because it looked like a Banksy piece. At this point I wondered if there was any point trying to be original. These two pieces went while we were filming My Dog Sighs so I didn't see who picked them up. If it was you, let me know :)
A few weeks ago My Dog Sighs asked me if I'd be interested in talking to someone from the BBC about why I participate in Free Art Friday and Its Yours, Take It. Of course I said yes and thought no more of it. After a couple of conversations with Jimmy from the BBC he asked me if I'd come down to London so they could film me, My Dog Sighs and Fin DAC dropping some free artwork. Despite it being desperately cold it was a great day, the Culture Show crew were amazing. Friendly yet supremely professional. Hope they got all the footage they needed.
Scheduled to be broadcast on the 10th February at 7pm on BBC2. We'll be tweeting throughout @korporate, @findac and @mydogsighs It's been a while so here is some free art for Peterborough...specifically located along my dog walking route in Hampton Vale. None of this work is mine, all of it was kindly donated for a free art event in the City Centre a while back.
I decided to title my 'Free Art Good Friday' pieces Forsaken. I did a bespoke version for a couple of friends who got it framed.
Here is a quick photo of the art that I'm giving away this Easter. It's 7 a layer stencil in Signal Red, Golden Yellow and Signal Black using thin coats of spraypaint to build up the layers. I've done 2 so far but I'll keep painting more until the stencils fall apart. Clues to where these will be hidden around Peterborough will be posted on my Facebook fan page on Friday.
I know I said I'd let you all know who won the free art on the 30th September but you know me...good intentions just a little slow getting there. Anyway, at Korp HQ we checked out all the entries this morning, removed the duplicates (you know who you are) and read the comments left by you, some inspiring some just down right scary (stalking me wont get you anything). I decided to give away the piece below, the original photo was taken by Richard Gunn and he kindly gave me permission to turn it into a stencil. The winner is Tom Acciarini from East Sussex...well done Tom the canvas above is on it's way to you.
More free art in a couple of months... First post on a new blog, lets start with some free art. You give me your email address (for my e-newsletter) and I give you the chance to win piece of Korporate art. Click here and fill in the form, winners details will be announced on this site on the 30th September 2010. Don't forget to check out the terms and conditions before you enter...
